Warren Averett Staffing and Recruiting is looking for an experienced accountant for our Montgomery, AL office. The ideal candidate will have more than 2 years of experience.


  • Assist a variety of clients with maintenance of their accounting records
  • Duties will include assisting with:
    • Month end close
    • Payroll processing
    • A/R and A/P
    • Accruals, unbilled, and other relevant journal entries
    • Account reconciliations
    • Financial statement preparation
  • Work with tax accountants for individual tax planning
  • Take on special projects
  • Develop and maintain quality client relationships


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 
  • Prior experience with accrual accounting
  • Gov Con experience, preferred
  • Desire to obtain their CPA License
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in working with staff and clients
  • Exposure to a variety of G/L software packages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Candidates must be well organized, have exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to mulit-task
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to department staff who are not direct reports
