Senior Accountant:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate, timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO and Controller with conducting audits
- Conduct regular general ledger maintenance and month end closing
- Prepare Sales & Use Taxes for Alabama and Tennessee
- Process Payroll (multi-state) and related Payroll Taxes
- Lead entertainment accounting functions and train/lead staff
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required; CPA or Master’s Degree is preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting; experience in property management, real estate, or entertainment industries would be a plus
- Experience with inter-company transactions, consolidation of financial statements, and sales and use taxes is preferred
- QuickBooks experience is required
