Warren Averett is seeking an experienced accounting professional for our Montgomery office's Accounting Services Division.  The ideal candidate will have been exposed to multiple general ledger software packages, be comfortable managing and reviewing others work.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with multiple clients in providing high value outsourced accounting services
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
  • Reviewing month-end close procedures such as bank reconciliations, and general ledger processing
  • Reviewing accounts payable, sales tax and business licenses for clients
  • Reviewing client payrolls and filing the related payroll tax returns
  • Must have a solid understanding of payroll processing
  • Communicating results with the client and Members
  • Ability to budget time and charge time efficiently

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA, preferred
  • 5 years of accounting experience
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • High degree of computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in an accounting software package such as QB Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Peachtree, etc..
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment
